News Tablet Device Protection Plan

Enjoy peace of mind as you stay updated with the news digitally. As a News Tablet subscriber, your new device issued by SPH comes with a News Tablet Device Protection Plan at no additional charge.

Coverage starts one day after your redemption date as shown on your redemption receipt and is valid for 24 or 30 months, in line with the duration of your News Tablet subscription plan (“Period of Insurance”).

  • 24 or 30 months’ coverage in line with the duration of your News Tablet subscription plan
  • Reimbursement of the repair or replacement cost of your insured Tablet in the event of accidental damage, theft due to forcible entry and robbery.
  • Maximum of 2 repairs or 1 replacement per insured tablet, and up to the sum insured, during the Period of Insurance.
No additional charge for customers who are issued a News Tablet by SPH along with their news subscription*.

  • This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
